General

Octofiber UPM Formi 3D is produced with pure cellulose fibers and is processed under the highest quality controls. This ensures a consistent product, with accurate printed objects as a result. Octofiber UPM Formi 3D is well known for its good 3D printing properties like extreme low-warp, fast cooling and it's even possible to print overhangs up to 75 degree without support due to self-supporting molten state properties. This material is suitable for many applications like household appliances, toys and (outside) decorations due to its water and weather resistance's.

Printer compatibility

This 1.75mm and 2.85mm product is compatible with most 1.75mm and respectively 2.85mm 3D printers. Octofiber UPM Formi 3D is tested on an Ultimaker 2+ and an Ultimaker 3 to name a few. This product works perfectly with a 0.4mm nozzle and also works in two nozzle printing. We are pretty sure that it will work with your machine if it looks like one listed below:

Printing guidelines

The values below are a safe starting point to obtain good results, but may not be optimal for your printer. for example a delta printer can achieve much higher speeds than a direct drive would. Anyways, contact us if you have any further questions.

Use them as a starting point, optimal values for your specific printer may vary from the values shown above, depending on e.g. nozzle diameter, exact printing speed and layer height to name a few.

Many strategies are possible to get Octofiber UPM Formi 3D properly to your print-bed: clean glass, blue painters tape, glue stick, hairspray, special 3D printing stickers. Whichever option you choose, a heated bed is not necessary, but will further simplify good adhesion.
